I would like to take this opportunity to introduce a new record label to you, Urbanfire Recordings which was founded in 2002. It is a brand new Hip Hop and RNB label coming out of London, England. The first group out of the stable are Frontline who are about set to drop their debut single - Westdon / My Wild Thing. The line up of the group is: Shiloh, Picks, Tyson & Rat, who are all aged between 21 & 25. As a crew they hail out of West London, hence the title of the track Westdon.

The Westdon track is severely dark and moody, obviously evocative of the environment it emanated from. It is oppressive with its off key screechy horns. The lyrics are grimy and dark, each MC takes it in turn to spit verses which flow sweetly and overall impress with the tightness of their delivery.

The group have been together over five years and have a unique blend of pure Hip hop, fused with other influences, i.e. Ragga, Rock and Jazz to name a few. To date the band has supported USA RnB sensation ATL on their London shows. They have also in the process of putting the finishing touches to their debut album. The track Westdon is part of a 3 track EP that the label aims to bring to you shortly.

Frontline are part of a new breed of underground hip hop artists in the U.K. which has recently been taking the interest of Damon Dash of Rocafella Records who has just singed English act S.A.S. to his label. Frontline, together with acts like Shiloh, Dizzie Rascal, Whiley, S.A.S., Terra Firma, Eurogang, Klashnekoff and even So Solid are making a big Impact on the underground and mainstream.

As well as Frontline the Urbanfire Recordings label is also home to: Shiloh, Nazinga Johnson, Juvinyle, Larel C and Isaiah and they are currently looking for allies around the globe to give them support to help them get their sound out there.
