Ruff Co are going to be one of the UK's freshest production teams over the next few years if everything goes to plan. Ruff Co. come with their awesome cutting edge style, and chest pounding beats and starting off their careers they have set their sights high. They have launched their assault on the UK urban music scene with a series of heavy productions. Ruff Co. are purported by many to be the future of UK urban music.... Radio 1 seems to think so. After a demo recorded with local artists was sent into their OneMusic unsigned promotion, Ruff Co were dominating the unsigned music chart in which they were at no.1 for 9 weeks, with their track Hard Times. The tracks were rated by the Radio 1 listeners by logging on the website and voting each track out of ten and after much success on the unsigned chart and an excellent response, Hard times was short listed by Radio 1 to go on the playlist!

Since then the duo have produced two albums and and an EP for rappers / singers, most significantly, work with Rap group BMDub which is now readily available to buy online @ www.bassroom.co.uk.

These guys can produce some heavy beats with a modern twist, but which still remain true to the core ideals of Hip Hop. You would think that they have been in the game for years with the sort of shit they are knocking out. Ruff Co. can also be commissioned for work and are constantly looking for new artist to work with. It is their belief and feeling that thier cutting edge sound only elevates the performance of the artist that they are collaborating with merging both harsh bass lines, with catchy hooks and uplifting vibes.
