Lethal & Destruction - So What CD [Bleakhouse]

Lethal and Destruction’s story really kicked off in 1997, when they released a five track EP. Harder tracks such as ‘No Mission’s Impossible’ received strong airplay on Westwood’s Radio One Rap Show and other important specialist show’s. Meanwhile, the track ‘Feeling You’ gained major support in the clubs and media. By 1999 their self-produced album ‘Zero Tolerance’ was complete. The duo played a string of P.A’s across on the country on the Blues and Soul Urban Essentials Tour with DJ Bigger.

A marketing plan for the ‘Zero Tolerance’ album was all set when fate put the release on hold. Through a mutual artist, Adam-F came to hear the album and immediately invited Destruction to work with him on the forthcoming ‘Kaos’ project.

The ‘Kaos’ enterprise became a brilliant opportunity for Destruction to work with legendary American Rap Stars in New York studios. Artists included Redman on the epic monster ‘Smash Sumthin’. Other acts also featured were MOP, Capone-N-Noreaga, LL Cool J, and De La Soul.

Whilst the album was being recorded, Lethal took a Commercial Music Degree at Westminster University. He also kept busy recording new tunes following a big hook up with Skibadee and the Platinum Performers camp.

Once the ‘Kaos’ album was released, Lethal and Destruction were eager to show their newfound skills by recording a bag of new tunes. This attracted serious attention and offers from major labels and publishers. However, with no street release in the new millennium it was vital to promote their name with a big new single. This led to the heavy street anthem ‘So What’. A highly charged street campaign attracted a fantastic response, most notably from the listeners of 1xtra who voted the single Number One in the official station chart two weeks running.

With the new single creating underground heat they now look ready to surface and reach the new generation of urban youth.

The ‘So What’ video has been produced by their associated logo ‘Beady Eye’ reflecting the energy and passion of the hip hop culture.

Already out on the underground ‘So What’ has been playlisted by 1xtra and Choice FM. Soul 11 street have targeted 200 DJ’s around the country which has attracted good support overall.
